WHAT IS A PARTICIPANT
APX Participant is a general term for all the Brokers, Sponsors, Research Panellists and Listees of APX.

Each category of Participants has its own unique role within the Exchange. They also have different entry requirements and different ongoing compliance regimes with the Exchange. If you are interested in becoming a Participant, please refer to the information in the different categories.

APX PARTICIPANTS
There are 4 categories of APX Participants. An APX Participant by the APX definition is an entity which has a contractual relationship with APX in the following capacities:

  • Broker
  • Sponsor
  • Research Panellist
  • Listee

Why Should I become an APX Participant?
Depending on which level of participation you have with APX, generally with becoming an APX Participants you will gain access to APX platforms and resources. As a Broker you are able to trade APX stocks on behalf of your clients and raising capital in the secondary market for listees. As a Sponsor you will be able to access APX Listees and provide advisory services to the Listees of APX. Research Panellists are utilised for most equities but are crucial to the listing of all AIMS property syndicate and property fund Listees given the mandatory requirement of publishing annually. As a Listee you will have access to APX resources, the marketing platform and the regulatory platform, to issue capital and gain the comfort of a regulated environment for your investors.

To participate in APX as a Participant, the best way is to contact APX for a consultation and understand which type of participation you are interested in. Each type of participation will involve its own unique assessment criteria and application process. So contact APX, and we will be happy to guide you through the process.

What does the APX Participant role entail?
The role of each type of participant is unique to APX and the other participants. However all participants are required to operate under the rules set out in the APX Listing Standards and the APX Business Rules. These Rules are to ensure that the APX market is a fair and transparent one.
